Rita Moreno Interview

For my very first BroadwayWorld interview, I spoke with legendary EGOT winner Rita Moreno. She touched on her documentary, returning to West Side Story for Stephen Spielberg’s upcoming film adaption, how she struggled with the depiction of the Latino characters in the original film, and more.

“You know, when you make a decision to entrust your life to someone, you better be sure that they're going to respect it. Particularly, in my case, if I was going to do [a documentary], it was going to be very truthful, no punches pulled, and I wanted to make sure that that was respected.”
